Songbook Songwriting Camp

Songbook Songwriting Camp 2026

13–17 October 2026

Presented by Zeneszöveg.hu

Songbook Songwriting Camp
Since 2017, the Songbook Songwriting Camp has brought together Hungarian and international songwriters, producers and lyricists. Our 13th edition took place in Budapest at the Petneházy Aparthotel from 13 to 17 October 2026: around 30 creatives a day, working in pre-arranged teams on real briefs from real partners, with genuine release opportunities.

Here, everyone is a songwriter: whoever works on a song becomes its co-writer, for good. On the closing night, industry guests listen to the songs written at camp, and we take the strongest ones further together with our partners.

Thank you for being part of it!

The goal is to blend mainstream pop with the energy of electronic music and the creativity of crossover genres. Participants are tasked with crafting songs that could appear on international charts within three months, focusing on strong melodies, memorable choruses, and modern, energetic production. ROXIE WEGIEL

The description outlines the desired characteristics for a pop sound that is both modern and internationally competitive, drawing inspiration from artists like Ariana Grande and Sia. The production should feature contemporary pop beats with edgy elements, incorporating trap influences and dynamic arrangements. The toplines need to be catchy with strong hooks and memorable choruses, avoiding an R&B-driven style.
